Arlo Pro 3 | HomeKit firmware update

An update for the Arlo Pro 3 wireless security cameras is now available, enabling functionality for Apple HomeKit. Users can upgrade the firmware on their VMB4540 Smart hubs today to support HomeKit, according to the manufacturer.

The Arlo Pro 3 is the sequel to the Arlo Pro 2, with 2K UHD video, a 160-degree field of view, and night vision. The Arlo Pro 3 may be found via the Home app on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac thanks to HomeKit integration. However, this is only HomeKit support at the time, not HomeKit Secure Video.

To see if there is a firmware upgrade available and what hub you have;

Select Settings Now My Device Now from the Arlo app. Hub for smart technology

Check the Hardware ID under Device Info.

If an update is available, press Firmware to see if it is accessible.
