Arlo Pro Camera Firmware Release Notes Suggest Incoming HomeKit Support
Only the Arlo Baby Camera from Netgear's "Arlo" line of networked smart home cameras supports HomeKit at the moment. This may change in the near future, since release notes posted in the Arlo community forums indicate that HomeKit functionality will be included in a soon-to-be-released software upgrade for the Arlo Pro camera. The basic Arlo camera, Arlo Pro, Arlo Pro 2, Arlo Go, Arlo Q, and Arlo Q Plus are among the wireless and AC-powered Arlo devices. HomeKit would only be available for the wireless Arlo Pro camera, according to the release notes in the forums. The newest release notes for the Arlo Pro 2 do not include HomeKit support, but it's unclear why the business would limit HomeKit support to the Arlo Pro line's first generation. The update also provides a correction for high pixelization of photos, compatibility for new Wi-Fi codes, and other improvements for the Arlo Pro.
